Since its beginning as a small outpatient clinic in 1939, Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) has grown into a full-service, 99-bed, nonprofit hospital serving North Central Arizona. In addition to the Cottonwood campus, outpatient services are offered in Sedona, Village of Oak Creek and Camp Verde. More than 800 professional and support staff are employed at VVMC; the medical staff is comprised of nearly 100 physicians representing 25 medical specialties. VVMC is a member of Northern Arizona Healthcare, which provides healthcare services through Verde Valley Medical Center and Flagstaff Medical Center.

The Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona (HVCNA) offers a regional approach to the delivery of cardiovascular services, including diagnostic and interventional catheterization for cardiac and vascular disease; cardiovascular and cardiothoracic (open heart) surgical procedures; and an extensive cardiac rehabilitation program. HVCNA is a partnership between Verde Valley Medical Center and Flagstaff Medical Center with offices located in Cottonwood, Sedona, Camp Verde, Flagstaff, Williams and Winslow.

• EntireCare Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine; 928-639-6383
VVMC’s EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine Experts offers comprehensive sports medicine therapy; physical, occupational and hand therapy; and speech and language therapy. Licensed therapists provide rehabilitation after injury or surgery, as well as treatment to decrease pain and increase range of motion for chronic degenerative conditions. EntireCare has four convenient locations in Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek.

• Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Program; 928-634-1112
Since opening in 2002, VVMC’s Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Program has gained national recognition as a center of excellence. The program is wellness-oriented, for otherwise healthy individuals who need knee or hip surgery. It focuses on preoperative education, state-of-the-art surgical techniques and pain management strategies. Advanced physical therapy includes a focus on restoring independence as soon as possible.

The Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare – Sedona (CCNAH-Sedona) is elevating cancer care in the Verde Valley through an affiliation agreement with The University of Arizona Cancer Center. The affiliation leverages the strengths of these respected and established organizations to expand treatment options for cancer patients throughout the region. CCNAH-Sedona provides radiation and medical oncology services with board-certified oncologists, specialists and nurses who use the most current technologies and programs.

The Camp Verde Health Center provides quality healthcare services for residents of Camp Verde, Rimrock, Lake Montezuma and surrounding areas. Services include primary care, visiting specialists, laboratory and medical imaging, and physical therapy.

Verde Valley Medical Clinic
Verde Valley Medical Clinic is an integrated, multispecialty physician group that includes primary care and internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, neurology and urology. Yavapai County Community Health Services (YCCHS) works with other emergency response agencies to respond to disease outbreaks, wildland fires or floods that could affect people living in the Verde Valley and across the county. YCCHS delivers monthly food boxes to supplement the nutritional needs of people age 60 or older, as well as young families. They work in the community and visit school classrooms to teach children how to make healthy eating choices and be physically active. YCCHS actively promotes health and prevents disease by delivering a wide range of quality healthcare services and programs.

At YCCHS, preventative care as well as treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, dental services, reproductive care and Coordinated Care services provided through the Community Health Center of Yavapai. Located in Cottonwood, Prescott Valley and Prescott. The Community Health Center of Yavapai takes most insurance plans and offers a sliding fee scale for those without insurance. To be eligible for the sliding fee scale, patients provide proof that they live in Arizona (driver’s license, utility bill or rent receipt) and proof of income.

The fee for the medical visit also includes limited laboratory tests and X-rays. A limited number of prescription medications are available at local pharmacies for a $10 co-pay.

Once a patient has made the Community Health Center their “medical home” they are eligible to be referred to behavioral health and dental care (dental clinic is in Prescott Valley and Cottonwood).

Certain services, such as childhood immunizations, adult immunizations, immunizations for foreign travel, HIV or tuberculosis (TB) testing, are available to everyone.
